Milan Fashion Week FW 2016 Day 6

After six days of catwalks banner of a eclectic creativity, the Milan Fashion Week FW 2016-2017 closes between opposites represented by the military style of Dsquared2 and “Black Velvet” by Armani.

After six intense days, they saw him get on the catwalk collections inspired by the most diverse subjects, from the Renaissance and the 30’s and 70’s  art, philosophy and science, the Fashion Week in Milan fall-winter 2016-2017 It takes leave of the public and professionals while maintaining the same eclectic style, with a mash up of genres ranging from “warrior world” Dean & Dan Caten to sober innate elegance of Giorgio Armani.

The last “gauntlet”in Paris, ready to take up the baton and to conclude the long, chaotic, but always fascinating month dedicated to Fashion Week.

It’s a warrior world

On the last day of fashion shows at Milan Fashion Week opens in the sign of Dsquared2, which continues in the creative groove of last season with a collection that tells a “warrior World”. The military style remains the leitmotif of the creations of Dean and Dan Caten, that add to the look inspired by the uniforms of hussars and Cossacks and all ‘clothing Inuit new suggestions borrowed from the samurai armor and full of bullfighters. The  yodare-kake , a metal plate that covers the upper chest, throat and shoulders of the Japanese fighters, thus becomes a decorative element, the suneate , iron rectangular plate designed to protect the tibia to the fibula, jeweled sandals and the frogs  of  boleros of bullfighting gentlemen are transformed into precious embroideries on silk jackets, leather and denim.

Remain the proposal FW 2015-2016 cargo pants, black, blue, dark green, gray, discounted and “feminized” with contrasting stitching, colored bands, sequins and glittering stones, gold buttons, bronze and silver, the socks with motifs tribal and camouflage and the beautiful, opulent, masculine-cut coats, frock coats and furs inspired by the land of ice.

An absolute novelty is instead the Victorian atmosphere with delicate broderie and turtleneck shirts, long skirts, pants, hoods and short jackets, tight and screwed.

“Black Velvet”

“After the euphoria of the color and the vanities of the last two years show, I heard that [designers we] had to cleanse us from the need to impress through the richness of the palette of colors and fabrics.” Giorgio Armani is not afraid to go against the tide and closes the Milan Fashion Week with a collection that is poles apart than the eclectic and creative frenzy pervaded trend shown by most of his colleagues.

The fashion Re fact chooses a color (black) and a fabric (velvet) and from this combination gives shape to Black Velvet, a theory look “sophisticated” and “clearly decipherable”, including the starring role it is the prerogative of the suit, it consists of unstructured and informal jackets and tailored trousers and fluid, soft, short at the ankle, slightly flared and with elastic at the bottom. Ça va sans dire .

In fact, black and velvet are not the only actors of the proposal FW 2016-2017 by Giorgio Armani. The designer switches between them and mixes them in fact and pink tweed, proposed plain, checkered, Prince of Wales and melange geometrical, tulle, cashmere, blue powder blue, greige and damask work, with a final effect of great elegance and laxity.

There are skirts, and the change of register is given by the evening dresses, but without a clear break with daywear, in perfect accord with the will of King George to create a style that makes the simplicity and linearity of the pillars of its elegance sophisticated.

Androgyny and minimalism

Between the military and the luxury of Dsquared2 mild Giorgio Armani rank the androgynous style of Arthur Arbesser and minimalism of Lucio Vanotti.

The Austrian designer draws on the aesthetics of the Belgian painter Michaël Borremans to create a collection that mixes menswear rigor and grace of the feminine in look retro flavor in dusty colors, prints and materials, but with a strong connotation contemporary in deconstructed shapes and sharp lines, layering and draping. The result? Nostalgic leaders, yet not sad, but “smiling.”

The fashion designer chosen by King George as part of its activities to enhance young talents of Italian fashion shows instead of having a big debt of gratitude to his mentor in the clean style, essential and minimalist that characterizes its collections, however, has different interesting original ideas, primarily the ability to overlay layers of fluid  to create dynamic and sensual look.
